Deep shadows are hot

Deep shadows are hot

This week, a brief advice:

Never use black or blue in the darkest parts of the mouth and sometimes in the nostrils. Your shadows will die and refuse to match with the surrounding areas.

schzduwen-mondCreate a powerful warm, dark tone, for example by mixing Alizarin crimson and Veridian green or Raw umber.

Remember this rule of thumb.

  • Lights are cool
  • Shadows are warm
  • Deep shadows are hot
